About me
I am a senior business leader with 25 years of experience in international business development, marketing, innovation, partnerships and sustainability roles. At Royal DSM (now: DSM-Firmenich) Royal KPN and as consultant, I have learned what it takes to convince boards and mobilise experts to implement change. With optimism, perseverance and pragmatism, I create and lead teams from different walks of lifes and organisations, build strategies and ensure the implementation of new products, processes and positioning.
A well-designed purpose-led strategy creates business value and a positive social and environmental impact. Supporting you, I will bring extensive experience with innovation and business development, combined with deep knowledge of both environmental and social sustainability in business.
Among the specific topics of expertise are social and environmental impact measurement, food systems transformation, regenerative agriculture, animal and plant protein foods, livelihoods and equity.
I have a deep understanding of the food, feed, pharma, materials and ICT sector.
I maintain close ties with industry peers, academics, NGOs. Also I am a guest lecturer (CISL, WUR, HAS, TU Delft) and regularly post opinion articles on LinkedIn and other channels. In my book ‘Your Customers Want Your Products To Be Green’ (2011) I share best practices of sustainability leaders. In my free time I love to draw and paint.
For our world to be a healthy place for people to flourish, we have to shift gears and change our approach to food, energy, mobility and the built environment.
Businesses are an excellent force for good to drive to this. I’m eager to work with you on this!
